TL;DR: Anxiety can feel overwhelming. Online therapy offers a flexible, private space to discuss it and develop practical skills (grounding, paced breathing, thought-balancing) alongside exploring deeper issues like unmet needs and life stresses. My approach is human-centred and integrative—tailored to your needs.
Why anxiety feels so hard.
Anxiety isn’t “just worry.” It can manifest in your body (racing heart, air hunger), in your thoughts (relentless “what ifs”), and in your relationships (irritability, withdrawal, feelings of being overwhelmed). When it builds, everyday tasks—messages, decisions, sleep—get harder. You don’t have to manage this alone.
How online therapy can assist.
Online sessions provide a consistent, confidential space wherever you are—at home, travelling, or living abroad. Together we can: Reduce the intensity quickly with practical skills: grounding, paced breathing, thought-balancing, and small behavioural adjustments that restore a sense of control. Explore what lies beneath: needs around safety, belonging, autonomy, identity, culture, or life transitions (including expat life). Establish more stable patterns: recognising triggers, widening choices, and practising responses that lessen anxiety’s hold over time.
Skills we might explore:
- Breathing techniques (e.g., paced or box breathing) to calm the nervous system. - Grounding methods (sensory and body-based) for spikes of panic or overwhelm. - Thought-balancing to soften harsh, catastrophic loops. - Self-compassion and boundary skills to reduce pressure, guilt, and people-pleasing. We combine these with reflective work—providing both short-term relief and long-term change
A human-centred, integrative approach.
No single method suits everyone. We’ll tailor what works for you at your own pace. The goal isn’t perfection; it’s more ease, clarity, and connection in daily life.
Getting started.
If anxiety has been running the show, a first step can help. You’re welcome to book a short Curiosity Call to ask questions and see if we’re a good fit.
